September 2015 Newsletter

Greetings KBOR Members,
Notice a few leaves turning and the quieter days of autumn approaching? Seasons come and go in nature and in our business. Our spring/summer sales successes continue as does the work of your Board.
A successful Golf Outing and 5K Run/Walk were highlights in June and
July. We look forward to continuing and growing those events next year….always looking for volunteers!
On August 4th the PR Committee was once again blessed to be able to provide Backpacks loaded with school supplies to deserving students from around the County via Combined Community Services. The kid’s reactions were delightful! (See page 7)
AE, Liz Decker and myself enjoyed a tour of Cardinal Center Services on August 27th. Their mission is to assist and advocate for people with
disabilities or challenges to live lives full of dignity, growth and
opportunity. There are many volunteer positions available with this
wonderful organization. I encourage our members to consider this as an opportunity to reach out to those in our community who could use a friend.
In November, we will host our Annual Boots for Scholars in partnership with Big Brother/Big Sisters. Shoe Carnival will once again provide their store and merchandise to help kids find needed winter footwear.
This year, we are also treating them to breakfast!
This week the Boards and Managing Brokers will be meeting with County and City officials in regards to their sign ordinances.
Also, check out Page 8 for new upcoming C/E opportunities and events.
Your Board is here to help you and we encourage your questions and
suggestions on how to best serve you!
