Local Industry

Kosciusko County includes 13 incorporated communities with a variety of industry.

Warsaw is known as the orthopedic capital of the world and several of the largest companies are located there, including Zimmer, Medtronic Sofamor Danek, Depuy, and  Biomet. Dalton Foundries, also in Warsaw, has been a long time employer in the area. Claypool is home to the largest biofuel plant in the United States. Syracuse is home to Rinker Boats, Godfrey Marine and BetterWay Products. Maple Leaf Farms, located just out side of Milford, is one of the largest producers of Chicken and Duck food products in the world. CTB, Inc. also in Milford, is a leader in Farm Feeding Equipment.

Along with industry Kosciusko County is the home of over one hundred lakes for fishing, swimming, boating, skiing or just relaxing making the area a vacation destination for hundreds of people during the year. Couple that with fine dining, great shopping, museums, parks, live theater and festivals throughout the year it is a great place to live or visit.

The diversity of industry, schools, hospitals, and shopping areas throughout the county enables Kosciusko County to keep a stable economy with jobs available in many areas.
