Members Helping Kosciusko County Students & Seniors

In anticipation of the financial impact caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, KBOR and their REALTOR® and Affiliate membership immediately stepped up to help Kosciusko County Students.  When schools were dismissed due to the pandemic, the Warsaw and Wawasee School Districts instantly had a desperate need for financial and volunteer help to continue their student meal programs.  KBOR committed $1,500 to each district to fund the buying and preparation of meals.  After reaching out to our membership an additional $925 was donated to the Warsaw School District for a grand total of $2,425.  And an additional $2,050 was donated to the Wawasee School District for a grand total of $3,550

Marci Franks, of the Warsaw Community Schools replied when hearing of the donations and receiving a list of REALTOR® volunteers, “Thank you so much for reaching out in this time of great need.  We’re so thankful for our community support!  Thank you so much for the donation and for help with recruiting volunteers.  We’ve logged over 1,000 volunteer hours since March 16th and couldn’t do it without them!”

Members Distribute Free Meals At Cardoso Café

More than 10 volunteers from Ruoff Mortgage and The RGroup Real Estate, along with café staff, filled up styrofoam containers with piping hot food for those in line while donning face masks and gloves. Warsaw Police helped direct vehicles. “It’s really nice to help out and give people some relief during this,” said Katy Dilley, a realtor with TheRGroup Real Estate. “We did something similar to this a couple weeks ago in Syracuse and had really good success there, so it’s nice to help out here in Warsaw.” In addition to Cardoso Café, sponsors of the event included Ruoff Mortgage, The RGroup Real Estate, First Federal Savings Bank, Fidelity National Title, The Natasha Hernandez Team and Cone Construction.

Thank you to our members, The RGroup Real Esate At Keller Williams Fort Wayne, The Natasha Hernandez Team, Ruoff Home Mortgage, First Federal Savings Bank and Fidelity National Title for making a difference in our community.
